Black is André López's version of "Black Is the Color", a song from Irish folklore that gained its most well-known rendition in the voice of Nina Simone.
Featuring guest musician Maestro Victor Biglione, it takes on a Mississippi blues vibe with a distinctive seven-string guitar, punctuated and precise drumming. The Hammond organ and double bass provide just the right support.
This single, which carries an important mark in the struggle for black culture, is the release of Act 2 of Amoresmeus.
It was recorded remotely, between two states and four different cities.
