Love is a source. It gushes, satisfies, moves, overflows.
Amoresmeus is a 'music in progress,' which means it's an ongoing work of musical creation and production with developments referred to as Acts.
Released in 2016 and with five albums on streaming platforms, it was created and directed by producer Alexandre Machado in co-authorship with singer André López, his life partner.
It explores facets of the same theme: Love, in various concepts and meanings.
Currently in progress, with a premiere in 2024, the concert for voice and string trio:
Act 3: FECUNDO, which will have a 'live' recording (audio and video).
The first impulse, the first touch, the gazes and warmth. Overwhelming desire, instinct at its fullest. Passion, sung with fire, lightning, and storms. Dramatic, visceral, and reckless interpretations.
Act 1 hides secrets and enchantments.
The EP (7 songs), with piano by Dunia Elias, features Frank Sinatra, Manoel De Falla, Chico Buarque, Tom Jobim, and original songs.
Black, by André López, sings about the diversity of human colors, black freedom, ancestors, and their legacy.
The version of the Irish folk song "Black Is The Color" gained recognition in the voice of Nina Simone.
Victor Biglione, with his steel guitar, brings a Mississippi blues vibe to this powerful and important political song in the history of music worldwide.
2019 Act 2 GENTLENESS, Where Love Flows
Recorded live in a theater (voice and piano) with arrangements and piano by maestro Wagner Tiso.
Constant, firm love with foundations rooted in deep waters.
Dori Caymmi, Mercedes Sosa, Gilbert & Sullivan, Nelson Motta, Jocafi, Villa Lobos, and others take us on a dive into love built on wise choices.
2021 epilogue Act 2 SAILBOAT
From Villa Lobos, Sailboat composes the piece "The Forest of the Amazon."
The symphonic cello of Marcio Malard and André's gentle voice glide through the ocean.
Recorded during the pandemic, in two states (RS and RJ), it possesses a mesmerizing sound that brings tears to the eyes.
With lyrics by Dora Vasconcelos, it had a Candomblé curimba added to its ending as a tribute to Mother Yemanjá, loved by all Brazilians and protector of the waters where sailboats navigate.
It sings of Brazil: its identity, culture, and origin. It sings of the sea, the sky, and the little white moon.
2022 prologue Act 3 OKULAKÃ
Three years of pandemic and separation (Covid-19).
Okulakã, by André López, opens Act 3.
A song of faith, certainty, and hope for new and good days.
It tells the story of Oxum (an African deity) and her love for her daughter.
Maestro Jaime Alem arranges and plays his precious guitar and viola.
